My Story

Known for Manifestation.
Proven by the Work.

From technology and education to Power 5 women's basketball, every chapter has been built by betting on myself.

The path to the sideline wasn't traditional. That's exactly what makes the perspective different. Every room entered was operated at a high level. Whether that was as a technology consultant serving the second-largest school district in Ohio, a state certified accomplished teacher, or a coach developing athletes from the high school and AAU level all the way to coaching college women's basketball at the Power 5 level.

Every transition was intentional. Every bet was placed on self. When you trust your program and your players to me, you get someone who shows up fully prepared and ready to work.

Coaching Philosophy

If I Want My Players to Be
a Woman, They Better
See One.

"I cannot ask players to embody a standard they do not see in me first."
If I ask for discipline, I should live disciplined. If I ask for accountability, I should model accountability. If I ask for trust, I should lead with honesty. If I ask for growth, I should stay coachable myself. This is the standard I hold myself to every single day. I'm not just coaching basketball. I'm showing young women what it looks like to bet on yourself, love yourself, and keep going even when it's hard, even when it's lonely, even when nobody's watching.
🤝
Trust

Everything starts here. Athletes won't be coached by someone they don't trust. Trust gets built through consistency, honesty, and showing up the same way every single day. Winning or losing, the same coach shows up.

🎯
Clarity

Confused athletes don't perform. The job is to make the complex simple. Clear roles, clear expectations, clear vision. When players know exactly what's expected of them, they play free and they play fast.

🧠
Relationship Intelligence

Every athlete is different. Taking time to understand how each person is wired, what motivates them, what challenges them, and what they need to hear and when is what separates good coaches from great ones. You can't coach everyone the same way and expect the same results.

📚
Teaching Ability

Coaching is teaching. When an athlete doesn't get it, that's on the coach to find a better way to explain it. Come prepared, break things down, and meet each player where they are. With 8 years of classroom teaching experience, communicating complex ideas clearly and keeping the group moving forward while still reaching the individual is nothing new.

📋
Standards & Accountability

Love without standards gets soft. Standards without care gets toxic. Great coaches hold the line. They don't let talent excuse bad habits, entitlement, or selfishness. But accountability hits different when players know it comes from genuine belief in them, not ego.

🪞
Self-Awareness

This one gets overlooked. Great coaches know how they come off, what they do well, where they struggle, and when their ego is getting in the way. They know when the message isn't landing and when they need to adjust. A coach who lacks self-awareness can damage a team fast and call it toughness or leadership. The best coaches are always growing too.

★★★★★

"What I remember most from my three years with Coach Krys is the first day of practice and especially my first year. As an international player struggling with the language, Krys helped me a lot off the court by explaining things so I could translate them during practice, and she was always a strong, positive voice. She also guided me through decision-making in video sessions, which really helped my understanding of the game. She's always smiling, with the best energy and approach, and that made a huge difference in my experience."

"Having Coach Krys on the team means having good energy around, always. She is friendly and easy to talk to, and she has a way of making every practice feel better just by being there. No matter what kind of day you are having, she brings a good mood and lifts people up without even trying. That kind of presence is rare and it means more than she knows."

"Coach Krys is one of the most high energy, giving, and selfless coaches I have gotten the privilege to learn from. I don't know how she did it but without fail every day she came in with a smile on her face and an attitude that made me want to be a better teammate and person for others. I will always remember how kind and supportive she was when I went through my injury. Going out of her way to make a booklet for me that really helped me mentally get through that rehab process. She is an amazing coach, and any player that has the honor to have her as a leader is lucky."

"I loved having Coach Krys as my coach! It's always something about a coach that pushes you and believes in you even more than you believe in yourself that really sticks with you! I never once questioned if she had my back or was there for me because she always was and she vouched for me in rooms I wasn't in. I think me and Coach really connected because we both had that hard working, dog mentality. She is truly one of the best and the time she spent as my coach will always be a cherished one!"

What's Next

The Next
Chapter.

Really enjoyed my time in video and operations. The film room sharpened me in ways I didn't fully expect, and that foundation will stay with me wherever I go. As I look to the next chapter, I'm ready for an opportunity to take on more and continue growing as a coach. Especially interested in roles that allow me to be more directly involved, but equally confident in the value I bring across different areas of a program.

Not focused on a specific title. Focused on the right opportunity and the right fit. What sets me apart is versatility, consistency, and a willingness to do what a program needs. A range of responsibilities has shaped this journey, and that experience has prepared me to contribute with purpose and reliability wherever I'm needed.

At Washington State University, did what was needed for Coach Ethridge and the program, and will bring that same approach to the next opportunity. Not every answer comes on day one, but the ability to figure it out never goes away. The standard is simple and unchanged: I don't disappoint. You're welcome to ask the head coaches I've worked for.
